Lyubov Petrova plays The Queen of the Night. A Soprano, Lyubov was born in Russia and graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.
Lyubov previously played The Queen of the Night in 'The Magic Flute' on stage for the Novaya Opera at Moscow's Municipal Theatre
Lyubov describes Queen of the Night as "a very powerful and demanding person".
Lyubov has participated in the Irina Arkhipova International Opera Festival in Russia and the Ludwigsburger Schloßfestspiele.
Lyubov has appeared in concert in Moscow at Placido Domingo's Concert in Red Square in 2001 and numerous times with the Russian National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michael Pletnev. She also appeared at the Theater an der Wien in Austria with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev.
Among her awards and honors, she received first prize at both the 1999 International Elena Obratztsova Young Opera Singers Competition and the International Rimsky-Korsakov Competition of Operatic Singers in 1998.
